The Job

Vital Aircon inspected an air conditioning system at a property on Pittwater Road in Dee Why after corrosion was noticed around the outdoor condenser. The outdoor coil, casing and surrounding components were checked for deterioration that could eventually affect system performance.

The Problem

Visible corrosion had started developing across sections of the outdoor unit, particularly around exposed metal surfaces and areas that regularly come into contact with moisture.

Although the air conditioner was still operating, continuing deterioration can weaken the condenser casing and affect vulnerable components if it is left untreated. The priority was to determine whether the corrosion was limited to the surface or had begun affecting the coil and other important parts of the outdoor unit.
