The Job

Vital Aircon attended a property on Old Northern Road in Dural where bedrooms located further from the ducted unit were receiving noticeably weaker airflow. The ductwork, air distribution and system balancing were inspected for restrictions, damaged connections or other causes of reduced airflow.

The Problem

The customer noticed that bedrooms positioned further along the ducted system were receiving much less air than rooms closer to the indoor unit. While the system was still cooling, these rooms were taking considerably longer to become comfortable.

The airflow difference suggested that conditioned air was not being distributed evenly throughout the home. The system needed to be checked beyond the outlets themselves to determine whether the restriction was within the ductwork, branch connections or overall system balance.
